Communication and Networking: Talking Tough, Then Talking Shop
Last week brought two occasions for BioIntelligence that we're glad to share. During the day, we held a communication skills workshop with the start-ups from Batch #2. And it wasn't only the temperatures that had participants breaking a sweat.
The role-plays quickly became concrete, ranging from dismissal conversations and price negotiations to investor meetings. These are situations where a great deal is at stake and where good preparation makes all the difference. Alongside plenty of laughter and genuine lightbulb moments, one start-up asked at the end: "Couldn't we do this every month?" It's hard to imagine better feedback.
Dr. Tanja Vogel, Phillipp Langrehr, and André Kaufung provided the key insights from their expertise: what matters most in a conversation, how to prepare, and what sets a good exchange apart from a truly strong one. The workshop was moderated and thematically led by Ulrike Munz, who mapped out the phases and central principles of a conversation. There was also ample room for the start-ups to exchange ideas among themselves.
In the afternoon came our first networking event on the rooftop terrace of our Hannover office. Good conversations, a relaxed atmosphere, wonderful people, and fitting weather made for a special evening. We're already looking forward to the next events in the same spot, and we thank everyone who joined us.
