Transfer X MACHEN: Life Science Innovation, Exchange and Strong Signals from Lower Saxony
The Transfer X MACHEN – IBT Life Science Edition demonstrated what can happen when life science start-ups, mentors, investors and transfer stakeholders come together for a full day of exchange. The event brought together strong ideas, intensive conversations and a wide range of perspectives, showing how science-based innovation can be advanced collectively within Lower Saxony’s ecosystem.
The day was divided into two parts. During the daytime programme, the focus was on personal exchange: networking, sparring, new perspectives and conversations with exciting start-ups and mentors shaped the format. Representing BioIntelligence, Felina Kallbach attended as a mentor and supported, among others, the start-up dedoc.med.
Start-ups from the current HTI BioIntelligence batch were also part of the event. Optimod, GliTTher and ELPIS Simulation GmbH used the opportunity to make new connections, gain insights and take away valuable impulses for their further development.
In the afternoon, the format opened up to a larger audience. As part of the 6th IBT PRE-SEED Portfolio Conference, seven finalist teams presented their innovations to both jury and audience. In the end, PathoPress from Göttingen and DeColi from Braunschweig were selected and will receive a combined €2.4 million in funding.
One thing became especially clear throughout the day: the Lower Saxony life science ecosystem is already home to a remarkable diversity of ideas and approaches. Events such as Transfer X MACHEN create important spaces to strengthen visibility, connectivity and new development paths for science-based start-ups.
Our thanks go to Niedersachsen.next, IBT Lower Saxony – Institute for Biomedical Translation, and all those involved in organising this engaging and successful day.
