BioIntelligence at UNLEASH + KnowledgeMove 2026
On 9 September, BioIntelligence took part in UNLEASH + KnowledgeMove at ASTOR Hannover. The event brought together start-ups, science, industry, investors and supporters from across the ecosystem, offering numerous opportunities for exchange and new perspectives through pitches, keynotes, panels and masterclasses.
BioIntelligence was also part of the programme. Our Programme Manager Felina Kallbach hosted a masterclass on the growing pains that start-ups can experience as they scale. The session focused on how founding teams can remain capable of taking action when decisions become more complex, roles begin to shift and pressure increases. The topic was explored on three levels: the company, the team and the founders themselves.
"Growth changes a start-up on many levels. What works well in the beginning often needs to be reconsidered over time – within the company, within the team and on a personal level",
says Felina Kallbach, summarising the key takeaway from the masterclass.
Our start-ups were also present throughout the event. Daklintec, Plandelicious, NanoDrug Delivery and ELPIS Simulation showcased their work at their own stands, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about their solutions and engage directly with the teams.
On the UNLEASH Capital Stage, three teams from our current batch also took part in the Health Innovation Pitch. ELPIS Simulation, GliTTher, and NanoDrug Delivery presented their solutions to the jury and audience.
For GliTTher, the day became even more successful. The team won the Health Pitch and advanced to the grand final, where it ultimately placed second. Congratulations to all participating teams on their strong performances.
Beyond the pitches, the event offered new perspectives on innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration between science and industry through its keynotes, panels and many personal encounters.
Formats like UNLEASH are particularly valuable for the innovation ecosystem because they create space for exchange and bring together founders, scientists, companies and supporters from across the ecosystem.
This kind of exchange is central to our work at BioIntelligence. After all, a strong idea has the best chance of succeeding when the right people come together.
We would like to thank everyone involved for the great organisation and a very successful event.
